4th Annual Mud for Blood Drive
The 4th Annual Mud For Blood Event held on May 12th, 2007 at Bass Pro Shops’ Outdoor World in Lawrenceville was a huge success! The Georgia Bounty Runners 4 Wheel Drive Club and Life South wish to offer a heartfelt THANK YOU to our generous sponsors, all those who took time out of their Saturday to donate blood, and the many volunteers who helped keep things running during the event. With your help, 139 good units of blood were collected. In addition to the blood drive, the items donated to the Silent Auction and items provided by Omix-Ada’s “Garage Sale” brought in an additional $2100. These funds helped provide sizable donations to the Jennifer Scott Memorial Fund for the March of Dimes, Breast Cancer Research and to our own AED fund. Blood donations are incredibly important because each pint of blood can be separated into its three basic components, Plasma, Platelets, and Red Blood Cells. Each pint has the potential of helping three different people. Over the past four years, the Georgia Bounty Runners 4 Wheel Drive Club has collected over 430 pints of blood! That in turn has the potential of helping approximately 1290 people in need. Without the help of our sponsors and the participation of the community, this would not have been possible.
The planning for Mud For Blood V is already in the works. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the same location - Bass Pro Shops’ Outdoor World in Lawrenceville. We want to make this event the biggest and best ever. If you or your organization would like to participate in next year’s event as a sponsor or as a volunteer, please contact us at
