We are pleased to announce that Dixie Speedway, (www.dixiespeedway.com 150 Dixie Drive, Woodstock, GA 30189) will be the host for the 6th annual Mud 4 Blood event. The event will take place on April 25th, 2009, just before Open Practice to all Dixie Speedway divisions takes to Dixie Speedway, from 10-5.We expect this to be the biggest Mud 4 Blood event to date. Each year, the 4wd clubs of Atlanta band together to donate blood to help save lives. In the last 5 years, we have collected over 70 GALLONS of blood. Because each pint can be split into three parts, each pint has the capability to help three different people. That means that the blood donated by the members and friends of local 4wd clubs may have been able to help more than 2000 people. In addition to the blood donation, we expect that there will be a silent auction, as well as a few vendors bringing out some cool stuff to show and sell. There is also a truck show that we call the Real World Truck Revue. Don't look for chrome and high $ paint... look for caved body panels and beefy drive trains. We also have a GIANT raffle for blood donors. In each of the last couple of years we have given away almost $5000 in cool stuff ranging from restaurant gift certificates to 37" tires and winches. The event sponsors have all been amazingly generous and exceeded our hopes. With the event becoming more high profile this year, we are hoping to blow the roof off. And as an extra bonus for M4B6, Dixie Speedway will be giving successful donors tickets to any race on their 2009 schedule (the free tickets will only be available to successful donors and will be limited to the first 300 donors... subject to change).
